Our Story

How it all started...

It all began in the little living room at the pastors Summer Chase apartment in  August 2009. Three adults got together to worship and praise God. The next week there were five ; and so the story goes. This continued every Saturday until that little living room was too crammed to accommodate anyone else. We worshiped in several hotels across Johnson City, until we found our church home. Even that was a miracle! From a torn up commercial space to a welcoming sanctuary where we gather for fellowship and community.

ATONEMENT BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS...

COME ENCOUNTER GOD, FREELY...

The power of God is meant to bring healing, wholeness, freedom, fulfilment and more. Here we know that the presence of God is real and the Holy Spirit has free reign.  Where the spirit of God is there is liberty. Liberty to worship; liberty to pray; liberty for the five-fold ministry to function.

Join us as we worship freely and let God be God as we wait on Him.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that the Scriptures in the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to all man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:12)

We believe the One true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind, the “I AM”. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

We believe that the Baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4). The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:4-10, 28), but different in purpose and use.

We believe in water baptism by immersion, submersion and emergence. The believer has been crucified with Christ, buried with Him and raised together with Him to walk in newness of life (Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:4).
We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14, and as manifested in the early Church. These gifts are to be operated decently and in order. I Corinthians 12:7-11, 14:40

We believe in the healing of the body by Divine healing in its varied aspects practiced in the Early Church. Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11; I Corinthians 12:9; James 5:1. Divine Healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness and affliction is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).

We believe in regularly partaking in the Table of the Lord, commonly called Communion or the Lord’s Supper, for believers. I Corinthians 11:28-32
We believe that the New testament Church ordains elders and deacons, and should be structured under the leadership of apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, and evangelists as God placed them in the local assembly and the universal church. Ephesians 4:11-14; I Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5
